In Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament we adore Christ, truly present in the Eucharist. The Eucharist is Christ’s lasting gift to us – his continued presence to us: body and blood, soul and divinity. When we gather to celebrate Mass, the gifts of bread and wine become for us Christ’s body and blood, and when we gather in prayer in Adoration we are adoring Christ himself in a direct way.
There are opportunities for adoration in all three of our parishes. These are moments of silent prayer when we can sit and be with the Lord, when we can lay before him our whole lives: our joys, our worries, our concerns, when we can seek his counsel and guidance, and pray for those whom we know who are in need of a prayer.
Whilst we can and should pray anywhere, making prayer and integral part of our day, in Adoration we are encountering Christ in an incomparable way, a direct way. Please join us for these moments of Adoration when we can truly give thanks to God for his goodness and love for us.
